The night we posted Quinn Popcorn on Kickstarter Kristy and I each went to bed with a lump in our throat. I remember saying, “What did we just do? What if no one pledges?” Kristy just shook her head in acknowledgement. We were terrified.
It is exactly 7 days later. The first week on KickStarter has been incredible; going way beyond our best case scenario. The money is sorely needed and very appreciated, but there is more to it than that. Confidence is the fuel that keeps this endeavor moving. Some days we have more, and everything is manageable; progress seems to come easy. Some days we loose it, and have to focus on putting one foot in front of the other to keep it moving forward. The hundreds of pledges and notes we have received through KickStarter have been a major shot in the arm. This is a ton of fun and we have never been more energized and focused.
Thank you to everyone who has pledged and/or who has spread the word. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going and allow Kristy and I to get the first run completed and get a start on the second.
The photo is of our brief Sunday night celebration. We used our crushed rosemary with some garlic and olive oil to season the chicken before it hit the grill. The artichokes were the size of a small planet. So good.
